The 1917 Revolution (Feb.)
- Began with riots and strikes in Petrograd - St Petersburg
- Feb. (March) revolution ousted the tsar (abdication)
- Aimed to replace him with a Provisional Government
- Diarchy ensues
- Petrograd Soviet and the Provisional government the two strong factions
- Provisional gov't led by Prince Lvov
- Replaced by Alexander Kerensky
- Both try to keep Russia in ww1
Summary
Alexander Kerensky is the central power of the provisional government. With his being in charge, he unfortunately commits the same mistake as Tzar. He continues with the enrollment of WW1 and the public was not happy because they wanted all ties with the war to end.
