Summary
In 1952, Stalin dies, and de-Stalinization beings to take place in Russia. Malenkov becomes the societ leader from 1953 to 1955. Malenkov would be replaced by Nikita Kruschev in 1955. It would be Kruschev that begins to remove any support for Stalin through a process that was later dubbed "De-Stalinization." The first act of this process was to form the Warsaw pact. This signalled much less harsh treatment for Satellite states.
