Personally, I think that the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Bay of Pigs invasion was a major part of the assassination of John F Kennedy. The Central Intelligence Agency is notorious for covering up major events. Having frustrated Americans with a lack of support during the Bay of Pigs invasion, it could be speculated that the CIA or someone on the inside of the American administration ordered JFK's assassination. There was bitterness among US officials regarding Kennedy's lack of action during the invasion, thus we find a primary motive for the murder of the president. It has been speculated by experts in the past that it's possible that the CIA worked with major names on the organized crime scene. Such names included Roselli and Trafficante. It has also been said by officials in the past, though there is no hard evidence of this, that Oswald, the shooter that was convicted of killing JFK, had been a hired gunman for Fidel Castro, the leader of Cuba at the time, in the past. When reviewed, it's impossible to say, scientifically, that the CIA covered up the assassination of JFK entirely, pinning it all on Oswald. However, we can say that some of Oswald's past has been altered by the CIA. Certain files pertaining to his trip to Mexico city have been altered, and his past has been presented differently than what is, perhaps, true.

The USA was a leader in the front against Communism in the 1950s. During this time, they aided in the general construction of the European Economic Community. This new organization was used by the US to implement several goals. These included establishing a free trade bloc and establishing a common front against communism. These new goals would lead to "Peaceful Coexistence," something that the USSR declared they would observe as a means of competing peacefully with the USA. This was the competition of which countries had the better education systems, which one would make it to space first, etc. These competitions were often won by the USSR.
Between 1945 and 1950, the US made various attempts to stop the spread of communism in Europe. Communism on a general level was a scary thought to those accustomed to western society and the western way of life. One of the major attempts to stop the spread of communism was made when the USA implemented the Marshall Plan in Europe. This plan utilized the enormous amount of wealth in the US to supply the European countries different forms of reconstruction post-WWII. In this way, the US was able to create a way for these countries to avoid becoming part of the Soviet empire, as without this aid, they would have had to join the empire to avoid total economic collapse. This essentially prevented the expansion of a communist empire within Europe, and was perhaps the most effective step against the spread of communism in Europe during this time period.
