Summary
D-day Is one of the most famous events in World War II. Although only a fraction of the lives were lost compared to the Eastern Front, the battles in France saw much blood shed but also great gains. D-day was the opening of a second front in France, together America, Canada and Great Britain landed and took control of five different beaches in Northern France.
